This week is a busy week for the Vapeix Team, and now that the Vapeix.io website is officially live, we are preparing to deploy the Vapeix Platform code into our AWS Elastic Beanstalk production environment – Gotta love that name.
We are currently working on setting up the new production location of the Vapeix platform for hosting the login portal, the social community, and the cloud platform by using the Elastic Beanstalk solution from Amazon Web Services. Once this is completed, new Vapeix members will be able to register on the platform by clicking on the sign-up buttons located throughout Vapeix.io, or by visiting http://my.vapeix.com/register .
For the techies out there, we are huge fans of Amazon Web Services (AWS). Amazon is one of the oldest and most experienced organizations to provide cloud hosting. The web services product offering packs in an abundance of innovative solutions for tech companies like Vapeix who are developing software for “Internet of Things” products.
While AWS isn’t just for IoT, they provide a very secure and efficient interface for delivering, organizing, securing and backing up code to-and-from system resources. There are quite a few members of the Vapeix team have who have worked in-depth with Windows Azure, Google Cloud, Rackspace, and other hosting providers, but we all feel the same, in that, AWS is second to none.
AWS indeed has a lot to offer, and in our opinion works amazing for what we are bulding at Vapeix. It’s worth mentioning, that the Support Team over at AWS has some of the best enterprise-level expertise when needed.
